The company and its predecessors were formed in 1948 and have been involved in the development, construction, management and real estate investment businesses since that time. The company and its officers have built over 6,000 multi-family apartment units, 7,000 single-family homes and numerous commercial buildings in addition to performing millions of dollars of renovation work on thousands of apartments units.

Standard Enterprises, Inc. is an active developer in the tax credit affordable housing industry having developed over fifty tax credit developments comprising over 4,000 units in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Ohio. The company also provides construction services for clients as well as for their own account through their subsidiary, Equity Construction of Monroe, Inc.

In addition to developing for their own account, the company often partners with non-profits to provide technical expertise for development, construction and property management services.
